You weave arcane force with mathematical precision, shaping it into a luminous prismatic construct that forms in an unoccupied space you can see within range. Its design resolves into a translucent, perfectly ordered geometric figure that hovers in place, occupying a 5-foot space. The prism is solid, with an Armor Class equal to your spell save DC and hit points equal to 5 times the level of the spell slot used to cast it. It has resistance to radiant and necrotic damage, and immunity to poison and psychic damage.

As a bonus action on the turn you cast the spell, and on each of your subsequent turns during the spell's duration, you can move the prism up to 20 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.

During the casting of this spell, choose any number of creatures you can see, allowing them to freely use the prism’s refracting properties. When one of those creatures casts a spell that requires an attack roll and effects only one target (such as the cantrip Eldritch Blast or the spell Ice Knife), it can instead target the prism, causing the spell to refract through the construct’s birefringent form and split its arcane trajectory. The caster then chooses two valid targets within the original spell’s normal range and makes a separate attack roll for each target.

If a creature you haven’t chosen attempts to use the prism in this way, it must succeed on an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, the spell is absorbed by the prism and has no effect.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the number of additional targets a refracted spell can affect increases by one for each slot level above 4th.
