Creation

Using your knowledge of necromantic power, you can raise a single, imperfect creation. They are fragile and often do not last beyond one direct blow, but this could be useful as a distraction, and some more intelligent creatures may choose not to waist their time dealing with it.

Summon a weak skeleton of dust withing touch range. This skeleton will have a weak, man-made spirit inside with computer levels of programmed intelligence. Can intuit a basic command, such as "go there" or "Kill him". On it's turn, it will try it's best to accomplish the request, but as literally as possible. Can be given a new command by touching it, but otherwise will ignore all hazards and life forms, not being able to speak any languages.

This skeleton has

  • 1 hp
  • an AC of 5
  • -3 to all stats.
  • Have actions: Dash, Attack, Interact, (etc.)
  • It can make 1 unarmed attack, using [spell attack] for modifier and dealing [spell ability] for damage.
  • 20ft movement speed, though if it's distance from you is greater than the range of the spell, the body of the creature will be dispelled.

Upcasting by any number of spell slots can give it the following traits: (Key: the first number is the spell slot cost followed by the alteration to the spell.)

  • (1) Give an additional condition to the command. "Go kill him, but try to go around to flank them."
  • (1) They make an additional unarmed attack.
  • (probs more, I can't think of any rn)

Please tell me what you think. I'd love to hear your opinions. Still super new to dnd homebrew and would love balancing feedback. The main reason I made this was to feel like an actual necromancer at lvl1. It's mostly just vibes until you actually get a spell that isn't just damage or something.
