When a creature within range makes an attempt to travel through door or similar threshold of 10ft or less you may cast this spell on the threshold. If a physical door exists, that door slams closed immediately and is jammed closed until the end of the triggering creature's next turn. The door can be broken open as if it were a mundane door of it's typical construction. If there is no door present, but a clearly a marked threshold is present (an arch, frame, or even a line drawn on the floor) than an transparent door clearly made of magic will appear. The triggering creature must succeed on a DEX save or take 2d6 bludgeoning damage as the door slams in their face and be knocked prone.
The spell fizzles out and the spell slot remains unused if the spell would have to extend past it's maximum height or width in any direction. (10ft x 10ft at 1st level)
When cast at a higher level: Door AC is increased by 1 per spell level above 1st. The maximum height and width increases by 5ft per spell level above 1st. Damage increases by 1d6 per spell level above 1st.

Ritual: When cast as a ritual the door remains open until the a command phrase, chosen during casting, is spoken within 120 ft of the threshold. The caster is made aware of living creatures as they are crossing the threshold and may activate the spell as a reaction even without line of sight, however the caster is not made aware of who or what is crossing the threshold. The spell lasts for 1 day per 10gp of wax used during the casting of the spell when done in this way.
