You conjure a pale, swollen mushroom on the ground in a space you can see within range. The space can be occupied by a creature, but it can’t contain another mushroom created by this spell.
Natural Creation. The mushroom is a tangible Tiny object (AC 0; 1 hit point; immune to poison and psychic damage) and can be targeted and affected as an object.
The mushroom is inert until the start of your next turn, when it becomes active. If a creature is in its space when it becomes active, it detonates immediately.
Detonation. While active, the mushroom detonates if a creature enters its space for the first time on a turn, starts its turn there, or physically touches or manipulates it. It also detonates if it takes damage, is forcibly moved, or is affected by a spell or effect that can affect objects or that creates physical force or matter in its space.
In addition, if a spell or effect designates this mushroom as its point of origin, the mushroom detonates immediately after that spell or effect is created.
When it detonates, each creature within 5 feet of it must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 1d6 poison damage and its speed is reduced by 10 feet
until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes no damage and suffers no speed reduction. The mushroom is destroyed after it detonates.
If the mushroom would take damage while inert, it is destroyed without detonating.
This spell’s poison damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), and 17th level(4d6). At those levels, you can have up to 2 (5th), 3 (11th), or 4 (17th) mushrooms from this spell active at the same time. If you cast it while already at your maximum, the oldest active mushroom withers harmlessly
