You attempt to seal a magical or cursed object within a shimmering sphere of suppressive arcana. Choose one unattended magic item of Small size or smaller within range. The item becomes encased in a floating magical bubble for the duration.
While contained, the item’s magical properties are suppressed. The item can’t be activated, attuned to, or willingly used, and any magical effects triggered by touching, wielding, or carrying the item are suppressed. The item still radiates magic faintly and can still be sensed or detected by creatures and effects capable of perceiving magic on the same plane of existence.
If the target item would normally force a saving throw when touched, wielded, or attuned to, you make that saving throw with advantage as part of casting this spell. On a successful save, the spell succeeds and the item is contained. On a failed save, the spell fails and the item’s effects occur normally.
The containment ends early if the bubble is subjected to dispel magic, enters an antimagic field, or is destroyed.
The bubble has an AC of 15 and hit points equal to five times your spellcasting ability modifier (minimum of 5). It is immune to cold, fire, necrotic, poison, psychic, and radiant damage.
If you cast this spell on the same item every day for 7 consecutive days, the spell lasts until dispelled.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, you can target an object one size larger for each slot level above 4th.
