Casting the spell
You seize and constrict a creature’s blood flow with a lingering pulse of necrotic force. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it becomes blood‑anchored for the duration.
A blood‑anchored creature has its movement speed reduced by 10 feet and has disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws. The effect ends early if you cast this spell on a different creature.
Overcasting the spell
When you cast this spell, you may spend additional Vitality Points (VP), or Hit Points through your Lifeburn feature, to empower it. For each additional VP spent, you may target one additional creature within range. Each target makes its own Constitution saving throw.
If a target fails its saving throw, it becomes blood‑anchored for the duration. Overcasting does not increase the spell’s duration or effects.
At higher levels
This spell does not gain additional effects at higher levels.
