Ranged spell attack. A bolt of molten ash is sent at the target. On a hit this ash engulfs the target doing 1d12 fire damage. Target makes a DC Constitution saving throw or inhales the molten ash burning their lungs doing a further 1d6 fire damage on a failed roll. This damage continues at the beginning of each of the targets turns until they make a further constitution saving throw at the end of their turn.
After the first round of damage the ash solidifies on the skin of the target. For the next 1d4 rounds they then have +2 to their armour class as the ash forms an hard skin. This keeps the heat from the ash in and it does a further 1d4 fire damage and restricts their movement imposing a -4 to their dexterity and their speed is reduced by 10’.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, each target takes 1d6 extra damage of the type rolled for each slot level above 1st.
