After building a warm fire, you take it's still hot ash and recite the incantation. Gripping the ash tightly in a clenched fist, you take the essence of the fire and harness it like a searing dagger and snuffing the bonfire. By plunging the dagger in the midsection of a living being, the essence of the fire warms the target from within, allowing them to shrug off extream cold for as long as the caster maintains concentration.
At the point of contact, the dagger concentrates on the surface of whatever entity it plunges into, leaving a smoldering orange spark that sizzles and burns the material it's on for the duration of the spell. If the point of contact is on leather or fabric, the spark will burn a small hole. However, if the point of contact is made onto metal armor, little more than a dark scuff will remain. If left on flesh, the spark will leave an intense burn on the surface of the target's skin.
