Writhing Abyss

You open a momentary rift to the abyss, summoning ethereal, hooked chains in a 30-foot-radius, 40-foot-high cylinder centered on a point within range. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d8 bludgeoning damage and is pulled up to 10 feet toward the center of the cylinder. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and is not pulled. At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
