Available only to Sorcerers of the Anarchic Magic.
You tear open a fracture in reality at a point you can see within range. The fracture fills a 30-foot-radius sphere with warped space, screaming shadows, and unstable magical pressure. The area is difficult terrain.
When the fracture appears, each creature of your choice within the area must make a Charisma saving throw. A creature must repeat this saving throw whenever it enters the area for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there.
On a failed save, the creature becomes Agonized until the start of its next turn and suffers the following effects:
- It is blinded.
- It cannot take reactions.
- It cannot cast spells of 7th level or lower.
- It cannot benefit from advantage on saving throws against your sorcerer spells.
- Once per turn, when one or more creatures fail this saving throw, choose one creature that failed. The explosion from your Gnosis feature triggers from that creature, even if Gnosis has already activated this turn. This explosion cannot restore an Anarchic Charge.
- The first time each turn that the creature takes damage from one of your sorcerer spells, it takes an additional 2d8 force damage.
If the creature fails the saving throw by 5 or more, its speed also becomes 0 until the start of its next turn.
Additionally, once on each of your turns, when an agonized creature fails a saving throw against one of your sorcerer spells, you regain 1 expended Anarchic Charge.
On a successful save, a creature suffers none of these effects for that instance of the saving throw, though it remains subject to the spell while inside the area.
