This spell is intended for Death Clerics ONLY. (Alignment: evil)
You channel a virulent, flesh-eating curse into your hand. Make a melee spell attack against a creature within your reach. On a hit, the target takes 2d4 + 5 necrotic damage and becomes infected with Caleb’s Rot.
You channel a virulent, flesh-eating curse into your hand. Make a melee spell attack against a creature within your reach. On a hit, the target takes 2d4 + 5 necrotic damage and becomes infected with Caleb’s Rot.
While infected, the creature must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw at the start of each of its turns. On a failed save, it takes 1d4 necrotic damage. A successful save halves this recurring damage for that turn but does not cure the rot or end the spell.
The Long-Term Curse:
If a creature fails a total of 5 saving throws against this spell (even after the spell's duration ends), the rot permanently sets into their body. At this stage, standard disease-curing magic like Lesser Restoration or Lay on Hands has no effect. The infection can only be removed by a Heal or Wish spell.

While permanently infected, the creature’s Constitution score is reduced by 1 every time it finishes a long rest. If the creature's Constitution score drops to 0, it dies immediately and rises 24 hours later as a Zombie or Skeleton (DM's choice) under the DM's control.
