You weave elastic energy between yourself and your attacker forcing their weapon to strike back towards them.

When a creature makes a melee weapon attack against you, you can attempt to deflect the blow as a reaction make a melee spell attack (adding your proficiency bonus and spellcasting modifier) DC is the creatures to hit roll if successful you deal 1d8 plus your spell casting modifier as force damage.

In addition if a creature misses you with the attack this is an automatic success and if the creature rolls a natural 1 your return attack is considered a critical hit.

For every spell slot level above 2nd add 1d8+spell casting modifier as force damage.
