Bittersweet Aroma

The scent of citrus sparks a barrage of memories into all who smell it, bringing peace to some and distress to others. Each creature within a 20ft radius of a point you see within range is affected by one of the two effects:

Peace: Gain 3d8 temporary hit points

Distress: Make a Wisdom save. On a fail, take 3d8 psychic damage. Take half damage on a pass.

You decide which creatures within the radius get which effect (you can have some get one effect and others get the other). 

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage and temp hp increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
