Blade Barrage

You conjure a hail of blades that cuts through everything in the affected area. Each creature in a 20 foot cube centered at a point within range makes a dexterity saving throw, taking 12d8 Slashing damage and 12d8 Piercing damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one. This spell bypasses all abjurations, creations of magical force, cover (including full cover from the caster) and forms of protection, magical or otherwise. A creature that takes damage from this spell that has temporary hit points doesn't lose any temporary hit points, and instead loses its normal hit points.

Using a higher level spell slot. When you cast this spell using a 9th level spell slot, both the Piercing and Slashing damage increase by 2d8.
