The Protohydra lowers its body temperature, creating a storm of freezing wind and ice crystals around itself.

• Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
• Range: 10-foot radius
• Effect:
• The area becomes difficult terrain for enemies.
• Enemies that start their turn inside the aura take 1d6 cold damage.
• Creatures entering the aura for the first time on a turn must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or have their speed reduced by 10 feet until the start of their next turn.

Higher-Level Version:
Damage increases to 2d6 cold damage at higher levels.
