A swirling expanse of cosmic light appears at a point within range that you can see above yourself. The expanse takes the shape of a Cylinder that is 10 feet tall with a 60-foot radius. Looking into it reveals a vast, otherworldly cosmos of luminous pink and purple nebulae, where countless points of starlight flicker into existence as though new stars are being born beyond the veil.
When you cast the spell, choose a point you can see beneath the cosmic expanse. Stars blaze into existence within the nebula before streaking through the veil and raining down upon that point in a brilliant shower of pink and violet light. Each creature within 5 feet of that point makes a Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d10 Radiant damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one.
Until the spell ends, you can take a Magic action to conjure new stars within the cosmic expanse and call them down in this way again, targeting the same point or a different one.
If you cast this spell outdoors beneath the open sky, you don't create the cosmic expanse. Instead, the heavens above transform into a swirling tapestry of pink and purple nebulae, and the stars you call descend directly from the cosmos. Under these conditions, the spell's damage increases by 1d10.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 1d10 for each spell slot level above 3.
