Whispering a prayer to the Crying God, you conjure forth a spirit that assumes the form of a crow. The crow then perches on your shoulder for the spell's duration. The crow can't be targeted by any attack or other harmful effect; only you can cast spells on it. It can't take damage, and it is considered incapacitated.

While the crow perches on you, you have disadvantage on death saving throws. You regain 1 hit point any time you succeed on a death saving throw for the duration, instead of only by rolling a 20. Until the start of your next turn after you regain a hit point this way, you have advantage on attack rolls and saving throws. The crow flies away and the spell ends.

Additionally, while the crow is perched on your shoulder, it occasionally whispers strange phrases in your ear that only you can understand. For example, the crow might say things such as "I hope your grave is pretty," "Do your bones speak to you too?", or "I never did like the sun; it's far too loud".

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can't fail a death saving throw by taking damage while at 0 hit points for the duration.
