You utter a curse in an ancient, forbidden tongue, targeting creatures of your choice that you can see within range. Up to three creatures of your choice must each make a Charisma saving throw. Whenever a target that fails this saving throw makes an attack roll or a saving throw before the spell ends, the target must roll a d4 and subtract the number from the attack roll or saving throw.
The dark energy of the curse lingers around the affected creatures, manifesting as shadowy tendrils that wrap around their forms and exude an aura of despair. These tendrils are not just physical manifestations; they seep into the minds of the cursed, filling them with feelings of doom and hopelessness, which might cause them to see ill omens or have a sense of impending tragedy.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each spell slot level above 1st.
