Rain of the Damned is a powerful spell that calls forth a volley of cursed projectiles from the shadow realm. As you cast the spell, you throw a piece of ammunition or a weapon into the air, which multiplies into countless shadowy replicas, raining down destruction in a 60-foot cone.

Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 3d8 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The projectiles conjured by this spell are imbued with dark energy, causing wounds that fester with unnatural decay and fill the victims with a sense of impending doom.

The barrage appears as a storm of dark, ethereal arrows, bolts, or other projectiles, each flickering with malevolent energy. The spell not only causes physical harm but also instills fear and despair in those it touches, as if each projectile carries with it a whisper from the shadow realm.

* - (one piece of ammunition or a thrown weapon, cursed in a midnight ritual)
