Chains of Regret

A barbed hook linked to chain erupts from a solid surface. On a successful attack the spell deals 1d4 necrotic damage and reduces the targets movement by 5ft until the end of your next turn. If a creature is hit again by this spell before then effect ends the effect is renewed and movement reduction increases by another 5ft. A creatures movement can be reduced to a minimum of 5ft using this effect.

The effect can be removed early by dispel magic, remove curse, or a haste spell. This spell has no effect on constructs or animated objects.

The Damage increases to 2d4 at 5th level, 4d4 at 11th level, and 8d4 at 17th level.
