You create a magical retreat in the form of a 10-foot cube centered on a point on the ground within your reach. The exterior of the cube is opaque and appears to be a simple, featureless magical barrier.
Only you and the creatures you designate when you cast the spell can enter the cottage. The cottage is stationary and remains in place for the duration.
The Cottage
The interior of the cottage is an extradimensional space considerably larger than its exterior dimensions. Within the cube is a comfortable 30-foot-square, two-story wooden cottage capable of comfortably accommodating up to 10 Small, Medium, or Large creatures.
The lower floor consists of a spacious common room centered around a magical, wood-burning hearth. The hearth provides warmth and light but produces no smoke and requires no fuel. A staircase leads to an upper loft containing 10 comfortable cots, each suitable for a Small, Medium, or Large creature.
The cottage is warm, dry, and comfortable regardless of the conditions outside. The interior provides sufficient space and amenities for its occupants to eat, sleep, and take shelter for the duration of the spell.
The cottage has a sturdy door and a large window on each floor. Occupants can see and hear the surrounding area through these openings. The exterior of the cottage remains opaque, however, and creatures outside cannot see into it.
Magical Protection
The cottage is impenetrable from the outside. No creature, object, or magical or supernatural effect originating outside the cottage can pass through its walls to affect anything inside.
Effects from Within. Objects and magical effects originating inside the cottage can pass through an open door or window and affect creatures and objects outside. Creatures inside can make attacks and cast spells through an open door or window. No creature, object, or magical effect originating outside the cottage can pass through an open door or window or the cottage's walls to affect anything inside.
Soundproof Interior. While the door and windows are closed, sound originating inside the cottage cannot be heard outside it, and sounds originating outside cannot be heard within it.
Entry and Exit
Only you and the creatures you designate when you cast the spell can enter the cottage. Designated creatures can freely enter and leave through the door.
A creature that was not designated when the spell was cast cannot enter the cottage, even if the door is open.
The cottage provides no barrier to creatures that were designated when the spell was cast; they can leave and reenter freely for the duration.
Conditions Within
The interior of the cottage remains comfortable and dry regardless of the weather outside. The temperature inside remains comfortable, and ordinary weather conditions—including rain, snow, wind, and extreme temperatures—cannot enter the cottage.
The magical hearth requires no fuel and continues burning for the duration of the spell. Food, water, bedding, and other ordinary objects brought into the cottage remain there normally.
Extradimensional Space
Teleportation and planar travel can't be used to enter or leave the cottage.
The cottage cannot be moved once created.
When the spell ends, the cottage and its magical furnishings disappear. Creatures and objects that originated outside the spell are expelled to the nearest unoccupied spaces outside the cottage.
The spell ends early if you cast this spell again or if Dispel Magic successfully ends it.
