You lock eyes with a creature or object within range, erupting into pitch-black flames born from the deepest shadows of the Shadowfell. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Spell Save DC.
- Failed Save: The target takes 6d10 fire damage and is ignited.
- Successful Save: The target takes half damage and is not ignited.
The Black Flames
An ignited target takes 3d10 fire damage at the start of each of its turns. Because these flames burn anything they touch, this damage bypasses Fire Resistance (but not Immunity). The flames cannot be doused by water, rolling, or non-magical means. The flames only vanish if your concentration breaks, the target dies, or someone casts Dispel Magic (5th level or higher) or Remove Curse on the target.
Mangekyō Drawback (Ocular Strain)
Channeling this power through your eye drains your lifeforce. When you cast this spell, you must immediately spend 2 Sorcery Points to suppress the strain. If you do not (or cannot), you immediately take one level of Exhaustion and are Blinded until the end of your next turn.
