A small rift to the Elemental Plane of Fire roars in-between your hands, and a coil of seething flames roars forth before concentrating into a large whip of fire.
This magic whip lasts until the spell ends. It has the same properties as a whip (10-foot reach), and when you first cast this spell or as an action, you can make two melee spell attacks with it.
If you drop it, it will disperse upon contact, but you can use a bonus action to cause the whip to reappear in your hand.
On a hit, it deals 3d4 fire damage. If you are proficient with a whip, you may add your proficiency bonus to the damage rolls.
When you first cast this spell or as an action before this spell ends, you may release an explosion of flame with the crack of your whip, casting Fireball at 3rd level.
Additionally, every creature that took damage from this spell catches on fire.
Until someone takes an action to douse the fire, the creature takes 1d10 fire damage at the start of each of its turns. You may only do this once per casting of this spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d4 for every two slot levels above the 5th.
