You sketch or project a faint geometric diagram of Aetheric formulae onto a surface or into the air at a point you can see within range. The diagram occupies a 5-foot square and sheds dim light in its space. When you cast this spell, choose one of the following functions:
Calculate. For the duration, you have advantage on Intelligence (Arcana) or Intelligence (Investigation) checks made to examine magical diagrams, glyphs, wards, leylines, architectural patterns, traps, or elemental phenomena within 10 feet of the diagram.
Calibrate. Before the spell ends, when you cast a spell that targets a creature or object within 5 feet of the diagram, you may ignore half cover for that spell. Once you use this benefit, the spell ends.
Trace. For the duration, faint lines reveal the flow of elemental force around the diagram. You can tell whether acid, cold, fire, lightning, thunder, or force damage has affected a surface, object, or creature within 10 feet of the diagram within the last hour, though you do not learn the source of the effect.
The diagram vanishes if you cast this spell again.
