Posted Mar 3, 2022I'm thinking more temporary hit points and maybe an increased AC. Something else to consider: similar effects to the Heavy Armor Master feat (reduces damage by 3 plus spellcasting ability). Configure that number as you see fit. I would recommend using two of those ideas, but using all three would make this spell too strong.
Even more interesting, it would be both a false life and a shield of faith, maybe even the HAM-like feature I told you about. Basically, it would seem more powerful in terms of defense when compared to other spells, but it would come with a cost. Your speed would be reduced, and you would receive a penalty to DEX saves. Just like the Potion of Turtle Master from Minecraft. Slower, but tougher. You would be slowed down because the stone surrounding you is really heavy.
