You conjure a sphere of warped spatial energy at a point you can see within range. When you cast this spell, choose one of the following manifestations
Point. The sphere appears at a chosen point, activates its effect, and vanishes.
Line. The sphere travels in a straight line up to 30 feet before vanishing.
Orbit. The sphere moves along a circular path you choose, up to 30 feet in total movement, before vanishing.
When the sphere activates, each creature within 10 feet of it must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d8 force damage and is pulled in a straight line toward the center of the sphere to the nearest unoccupied space. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn't pulled.
This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks.
The sphere can pull Medium or smaller creatures Larger creatures aren't moved, but they still take damage as normal.
If this spell reduces a creature to 0 hit points, the creature collapses into distorted fragments of force and is destroyed, along with any nonmagical objects it is wearing or carrying.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st. In addition, the maximum size of creatures the spell can pull increases to Large when cast with a 4th-level slot. Huge with a 5th-level slot, and Gargantuan with a 6th-level slot or higher.
