You compress moisture in the air to rapidly form rain clouds over a 1-square-mile area within range that you can see. The rain falls continuously until the spell ends.
When you cast the spell, roll 1d20 to determine the rainfall's intensity: 1–4: Light Rain. Moisturizes the soil with no effect on visibility or movement. 5–8: Light to Moderate Rain. Extinguishes small, uncovered flames. 9–12: Moderate Rain. Extinguishes all large fires. Clay or muddy ground becomes Difficult Terrain. 13–16: Heavy Rain. Creatures in the area have Disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight and hearing. 17–20: Very Heavy Rain. The area is Heavily Obscured beyond 30 feet, and all unpaved ground becomes Difficult Terrain.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The area of effect increases by 2 square miles for each spell slot level above 1.
