You teleport one non-living object you are touching to a destination you know on the same plane of existence. The destination must have a firm surface at least as large as the object, to receive it.
At 5th level, the object can weigh up to 500 pounds and fit within a 3-cubic-foot volume. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, both the weight and volume limits increase, gaining 250 pounds and 1 cubic foot per slot level above 5th (so a 9th-level slot allows 1,500 pounds and 7 cubic feet).
Your familiarity with the destination determines whether the object arrives successfully. Roll d100 and consult the table below.
| Familiarity | Mishap | Similar Area | Off Target | On Target |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Permanent circle | — | — | — | 01–100 |
| Linked object | — | — | — | 01–100 |
| Very familiar | 01–05 | 06–13 | 14–24 | 25–100 |
| Seen casually | 01–33 | 34–43 | 44–53 | 54–100 |
| Viewed once or described | 01–43 | 44–53 | 54–73 | 74–100 |
| False destination | 01–50 | 51–100 | — | — |
On Target. The object appears exactly where you intended.
Off Target. The object appears above the surface, at a height equal to 1 foot for every percentage point by which your roll fell short of the On Target threshold. It then falls, taking normal falling damage to anything it lands on if it's the sort of object that could deal damage that way.
Similar Area. The object appears on the nearest surface that's visually or thematically similar to the intended destination. If none exists within a reasonable distance, the spell fails and the object doesn't move.
Mishap. The object is destroyed if it would otherwise materialize inside a solid body; otherwise treat the result as Off Target.
