During the spell’s duration shoot ranged ammunition or a thrown weapon at the ground or a target within its range. That becomes the center point of a 15ft circumference by 60ft high cylinder range in which acid will fall. All creatures in that range, either in the air or on the ground, must make a DEX saving throw.
On a failed save, each of these creatures takes 1d8 Acid damage initially and 1d6 acid damage in the next round. On a successful save they take half as much damage as on a successful one at the times both times damage should occur.
At the end of the spell, the ranged weapon returns to their normal form and the ammunition disappears.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage for effects of the spell increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd. For the subsequent d6 damage of the spell will increase by 1d6 at the 3rd, 6th, and 9th level. At 3, 4 & 5 level spells, each creature must make a Constitution saving throw against being blinded until the end of the next round. At 6, 7, 8 and 9th level spells, each creature must make Constitution saving throw against being blinded for 1 min.
