You focus on a point, you are able to see within 60 feet of you.
On that point you have chosen, you are able to change the state of the material within a 5 feet cube of that point or any material that passes through said area of the casters choosing.
You may only change the state of the matter from one state to another adjacent. For example you can change a gas into a liquid but you can’t change a solid into a gas.
Material that has been in the cube or passed through the cube during the duration of the spell, will remain in the state that it was changed into even after the spell has ended. Unless change by another spell or physical worldly change.
The spell can deal damage to creatures within reason. These are only examples (common) but for other types of damage caused by other materials can be discussed amongst the party/DM for balance/reasonable damage as per type of damage and extend of coverage and volume etc.
- Shards of Ice (from rain) - 1d6 slashing damage & 1d4 cold damage for each round under the cube.
- Trapped in Ice - 3d8 cold damage for each round trapped. (Water to Ice)
- Trapped in stone - 6d6 bludgeoning damage. (Molten stone/lava to stone)
- Burning from molten material (stone, lava, metal etc) - 18d10 per round within/touching the molten material.
