Abyssal Rend

An instantaneous spell used by residents of the Abyss (or some other dark world equivalent to it). In a 100 ft. range, dark spikes rise from the ground up, impaling any enemy in a 30 ft. area (e.g., you can cast it 100 ft. away from you and the spell takes up 30 ft.^2). When used at spell levels higher than 5, increase AOE by 5 ft. for each level ≥5 (SL 5 gives 5 ft, SL 6 gives 10 ft., etc).
