5th-Level Conjuration
Casting Time: Action
Range: 150 feet
Components: V, S, M (a handful of snow or crushed ice)
Duration: Instantaneous
You conjure a roaring avalanche of snow and ice centered on a point you can see within range. The avalanche fills a 20-foot-radius, 20-foot-high Cylinder centered on that point.
Each creature in the area must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d8 Cold damage, is knocked Prone, and is swept directly away from the center of the avalanche to the nearest unoccupied space at the edge of the spell’s area.
A creature that fails the save is also buried beneath the snow. While buried, the creature can’t stand up or move. A buried creature can use its action to dig itself free. Alternatively, another creature within 5 feet of the buried creature can use its action to dig it free.
On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage only.
After the avalanche passes, the conjured snow and ice immediately disappear, except for the snow burying creatures that failed their saving throws. This snow remains until the buried creature is freed.
