Arcane Courier

You touch a sheet of paper and speak the name or otherwise identify a creature you wish the message to reach.

The paper folds and animates itself, taking the form of a Tiny beast and gaining a flying, climbing, or walking speed appropriate to its form. The courier travels toward the creature you designated by the most direct route available to it, avoiding ordinary obstacles and hazards as best it can. The courier can take only simple actions necessary to reach its destination. It cannot attack, manipulate objects, or perform tasks unrelated to delivering its message.

When the courier reaches the intended recipient, it unfolds itself, revealing the written message, and the spell ends. If the courier cannot reach the intended recipient before the spell's duration expires, it returns to its original paper form and falls to the ground at the location where the spell ends.

The courier has no combat statistics and cannot willingly move more than 50 feet per round. If it takes damage, the spell ends and the paper falls harmlessly to the ground.

At higher levels: For each level of this spell cast at 2nd level or higher, add 24 hours to the duration.
