You extend your arm, creating a choking grasp around one creature within range. The target must make a Strength saving throw to break out of the grasp. On a failure the creature takes 4d8 Force damage, is lifted off the ground 5 feet, and is Restrained. On a success, the creature takes half damage but is not Restrained or lifted.
At the start of the targeted creature's turn, they take 1d8 Force damage if they are Restrained or their movement speed is halved if they are not Restrained. A Restrained creature can use an Action to make a saving throw, freeing themselves from the grasp on a success.
During your turn, you can use a Bonus Action to move the effect to a new creature which forces a new saving throw and damage, attempt to Restrain the targeted creature again forcing another saving throw and damage, or pull a Restrained creature up to 30 feet in any direction within range dealing 2d8 Force damage. If you have more than one creature targeted by this spell, using your Bonus Action in this way affects all targeted creatures, and you can individually choose which Bonus Action effect targets which creatures.
At Higher Levels.
When you cast this spell at 5th level or higher, the number of targets affected increases by 1 for every slot level above 4th.
