You utter foul words o'flame, conjuring a floating sphere of primal fire.
The sphere of flame is 5 feet wide and has a fly speed of 40 feet. It moves in a direction of the caster's choosing at the beginning of their turn. Any creature or object that makes contact with the sphere must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 3d6 fire damage at the beginning of each of its turns while it remains in contact with the sphere. They are also set on fire.
On a success, they take half the initial damage, but are still set on fire.
A creature that is set on fire takes 1d6 fire damage at the beginning of each of its turns until the flames are extinguished. The flames can be extinguished by the creature or another creature using an action to douse them.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
