When you cast this spell, one of the targets´ hands turns into a mining pick and the other into a small hammer. The pick and the hammer can be used as tools for carving stone or as weapons. The pick has the property of a war pick (1d8 piercing damage) and the hammer of a light hammer (1d4 bludgeoning). They count as magical and the target can add his or her strength modifier (or the caster his or her spell casting modifier when it is casted on self) to them for each attack and damage roll. You can attack with one hand and use your bonus action to attack with the other.
When you use the pick and hammer for mining or cutting stone, you gain proficiency in the task.
The pick and hammer disappear when you are incapacitated or when you dismiss the spell as a bonus action. While your hands are transformed, you cannot use a shield, wield another weapon, or exercise any other fine-motor tasks. Using items (activating magical items, drinking a potion, holding on to a mount, throwing and catching things, etc.) demands a successful sleight of hand check DC12.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8/1d4 for every two spell slot levels above 2nd. If you cast it at level 5 or higher, it doesn’t require concentration anymore.
