You perform a simple flourish and inscribe a glowing ward in an area you can see within range. Until the start of your next turn, the ward fills a 5-foot cube and provides dim light within a 5-foot radius of it. Any creature in the ward's space when you cast the spell must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 force damage and the ward created by this spell ends. A creature must also make the saving throw when it enters the ward's space for the first time on a turn. If it does, it instead takes 1d12 force damage and the ward created by this spell ends.
This spell creates more than one ward when you reach higher levels: two wards at 5th level, three wards at 11th level, and four wards at 17th level. You can inscribe the wards in the same space or different ones. A creature makes a separate save for each ward.
