The thrown weapon or piece of ammunition (if cast on a bow, crossbow etc.) Transforms midair into a fragment of sparks.
The attack is rolled as normal. Instead of its normal damage, it does 4d8 damage on a hit or half on a miss.
Any creature within 10 foot has to make a dexterity save, taking 2d8 damage on a fail or half of that on a success.
The weapon or ammunition turns back to normal after the attack.
For each level upcast after 3, the initial and secondary damage increases by 1d8
