You attempt to charm a pair of pants you can see within range. The pants must be worn by a creature. That creature makes a Charisma saving throw for the pair of pants they're wearing. If it fails the saving throw, the pants are charmed by you until the spell ends. The creature who is wearing those pants is considered grappled by their pants. As a bonus action on your turn, you can command the pants to move up to 15 feet in a direction you choose, or to cause the creature wearing the pants to fall prone. The grappled creature (or another creature on their turn) can use their action to make an Athletics or Acrobatics check against your Spell Save DC to end the grappled condition (by escaping their pants). The creature makes a new Charisma save for their pants at the end of each of their turns. The spell ends if the creature being grappled by their pants succeeds the save, they become ungrappled by any means, or the pants take damage by you or one of your allies. Does not work on skirts, kilts, dresses, undergarments, or unclothed legs -- regardless of gender.
A creature who is forcibly moved (such as effects from the Thunderwave spell) bring their pants with them, thus and their grappled condition does not end.
Moving the creature into terrain that is hostile to the creature, such as the area affected by the Cloudkill spell, is not harmful to the pants and so the pants will move into that area without ending the spell. You can use your bonus action to control all pairs of pants charmed this way.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can target one additional valid pair of pants for each slot level above 3rd. The pants must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
