To cast this spell you need to plant a wooden figure of an animal in the ground at a max distance of five feet away from you. When you cast this spell the wooden figure you placed on the ground grows to be a max of 5 feet long, 3 feet tall, 2 feet wide, and comes to life. The animal you make cannot have a challenge rating of 1/4 or higher. You control this creature and can mentally communicate if you are less than 120 feet apart. The animal disappears after 1 hour.

At Higher Levels. The max challenge rating of the creature you create increases by 1/4 when this spell is cast using a spell slot of second level or higher.
