You transform a marked item into a tattoo on a willing creature's body. With an action, that creature can withdraw the item from the tattoo or replace it. While it is stored as a tattoo, no other creature can retrieve the item, and the item is weightless until withdrawn and made tangible. A container that is transformed in this way cannot contain any items while it is transformed. A creature can have only one item bound to them in this way, and if the ritual is used again, the first item is ejected and the tattoo disappears. If the tattoo is subjected to an effect that would dispel it, the item is ejected and the tattoo becomes a mundane tattoo.
An item that is transformed in this way cannot be larger than 10 feet in any direction, and must be able to be drawn on the creature at no less than a 1/3 scale. If the spell is left on the creature with the same item without being dispelled for more than a year, the effect becomes permanent.
* - (Fine inks worth 50 GP, which the spell consumes, or an existing tattoo on the creature.)
