You touch one object that is no larger than 5 feet in any dimension. Until the spell ends, you know the distance and direction to the object upon concentrating for 1 minute. The  effective range 1 mile per caster level.The spell ends if you cast it again or dismiss it as an action or the duration has expired. The duration of the effect is 1 hour per caster level.

If you target an object held or worn by a hostile creature, that creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw to avoid the spell.
