For the duration, you spit out snakes from your mouth. The snakes do not choke or otherwise harm you. You can breathe normally and engage in movement and combat. 1d4 poisonous snakes slid out of your mouth at the start of each of your turns. The snakes appear beside you and can occupy another creature's space. While in a creature's space, a snake has advantage on its Bite attack.

Each snake is considered fey, and it disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends. The damage dealt by a snake isn't considered magical.

When you cast the spell, roll initiative for the snakes as a group, which has its own turns. The snakes are friendly to you and they obey any verbal commands that you issue to them (no action required by you). If you don't issue any commands to them, they defend themselves from hostile creatures, but otherwise take no actions.

Creatures within range with an Intelligence of 3 or higher that can see you spitting out snakes can become frightened exactly as if you had cast the cause fear spell on them (see that spell for details). After a successful save, the creature cannot be frightened at the sight of snakes coming out of your mouth until you cast this spell again.

The DM has the creature's statistics.
