Uskius' Stroke of Genius

The energy of the spell heightens the user's ability, allowing them to drill the target with an intense bolt of lightning. Make a ranged spell attack against one creature in range, with your spellcasting ability score set to 20 for the cast. On a hit, the target takes 2d8+spellcasting ability modifier lightning damage; on a miss, the spell slot(s) for the cast are not expended.

If cast above 2nd level, for every second spell slot used the spell does an additional die of damage.
