You throw a panoply of loose colorful paper at one creature of your choice within range, which then dances about their face in an attempt to aggressively confuse them. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 2d8 psychic damage and is distracted. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and isn't distracted. A distracted creature has has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls. At the end of each of its turns, the target can make another Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the spell ends on the target.
A blind creature is immune to this spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.
