The Bard sings or tells an enchanting story to prepare the target for sleep, this yields optional benefits for a long rest.
Choose a willing friendly creature as the target of this spell. Creatures that don't sleep, such as elves, can't be effected by this spell. A willing creature you touch, enters a deep sleep after a bed time story or song. The creature will finish its sweet dream and wake up refreshed.
- The required sleeping time is reduced to half its original length during a long rest.
If the creature does not take the benefits from a long rest, the creature will instead get Temporary hit points, equal to the casters Charisma modifier + the creatures constitution modifier Minimum of 1. Temporary hit points will fade 8 hours after the creature has woken.
While effected by this spell and sleeping the target can not wake up by normal means of distraction, the target is in a deeper than usual sleep and wont wake up unless, intense pain, suffocating or other life threatening event.
Very good.
