Releasing the ever-fluctuating power within your Chaos Core, you send a surge of energy down your arm to fire out towards the target of your choice. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d4 damage, as chosen by the roll of the dice. Should you roll 8 as the total, instead of damaging the target you will heal any creatures within five feet of it by the amount of damage you would otherwise do.
This spell's damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d4 + 1d8), 11th level (2d4 + 2d8), and 17th level (2d4 + 3d8). The added damage matches that of the base 2d4 roll.
