Siphoning blood from a donor, you create ten Bloodberries.
If the donor is unwilling, they can take a Dexterity save vs your spell save DC. The spell fails on a successful save. If the donor is willing or if they fail the save, they lose 10 hp.
Ten berries appear in your hand which are infused with magic for the duration. A creature can use its action to eat one berry. Eating a berry restores 1 hit point, and the berry provides enough nourishment to sustain a vampiric creature for one day.
The berries lose their potency if they have not been consumed within 24 hours of the casting of this spell, as the blood turns bad. Any creature who eats a Badberry loses 1 hp.

Posted Aug 25, 2018Pun intended? Haha.
Thanks for the nice comment. I made it for a friend who was playing a vampire rogue so he could be in the party without serious consequences. He then proceeded to take another party member into a sewer and murder him...

Posted Aug 26, 2018My puns are always intended.
Browsing through the spells on here, the ones that aren't ridiculously op really stand out.

Posted Aug 27, 2024The Badberrys seem like they could be hoarded and used as a weapon coating. While I like this idea, this could with enough time become very broken, maybe change the lose 1hp to take 1 poison damage, so a ranger can't hoard 100s of these things to tip an arrow with a ton of unresistable damage. Alternatively make it specify that intravenous application does not deal damage or cause loss of life.
