Ward of Planar Influence

Until the spell ends, the caster of this spell is immune to any effect caused by being in a plane of existence they are not native to. This includes damage and exhaustion from a plane such as the plane of ice, and any mind or alignment altering affect such as the slow descent into evil from the lower planes or the descent into madness from the Far Realm. This does not include gaining the ability to breathe in a realm without access to air such as the plane of vacuum or the plane of water, but merely prevents any damage, exhaustion, or altering of the mind, body, or soul. If this spell is cast again before the duration is up, the twenty-four hours restarts from the new casting and does not extend the duration of the previous spell. This spell does not stop any damage, exhaustion, or altering effect caused by a being from or in a foreign plane, but merely stops effects caused by being present in the plane itself. If cast at ninth level, you can either choose to extend the duration to a full week*, or you can spread the effect amongst as many people as your spellcasting ability modifier that are in contact with you or a person being affected by the spell, you choose who receives the benefit.

*When determining the duration of this spell, the caster must take into account the passage of time inside the plane they are traveling to. The spell is cast relative to the time passage of the caster's plane of residence at the time of casting, and if the caster was to travel to a plane where every week is equal to a day on their currently occupied plane, then the casting would last a week while continuing to reside in the foreign plane. Once the plane is left, then the duration once again changes. The caster must keep up with this change to be continually protected by recastings, as the passage of time between realms is ever-changing and mysterious. If one were to go to a plane where there is no concept of time, then potentially the spell would last until the caster returns to a time-structured existence.)
