Assay Spell Resistance

When cast upon a target creature, this spell will lower the defences against magic of this creature. For the duration of the spell, for the caster only, the target’s magic/spell resistance is ignored (and magic/spell immunity is downgraded to resistance) and every save versus spells (or spell effects such as scrolls) suffers a penalty equal to the caster’s spellcasting ability modifier, +1.

Something to note is that this spell is not affected by Dispel magic; once it has been cast there is no way to cancel the effects until the spell expires. The penalty to saves only applies to spells/spell effects cast at the target by the caster of this spell. Spell shield blocks this spell. There is no saving throw.
